The Foundations of the Wave Spinal Twists course introduces a dynamic and effective technique that integrates deep spinal mobility and relaxation into your massage therapy practice. This class focuses on the anatomy, application, and therapeutic benefits of the Wave Spinal Twist, a fluid, twisting movement that promotes spinal flexibility, relieves tension, and enhances overall body awareness.

In this hands-on, experiential course, you'll learn how to guide clients through gentle spinal twists that release tension in the back, shoulders, and hips while improving circulation and energy flow throughout the body. The technique incorporates wave-like, undulating movements that facilitate a natural release of stored stress, encourage deeper relaxation, and support improved posture.

Key learning objectives:

  • Understand the biomechanics of spinal twists and their role in increasing flexibility and mobility.

  • Explore the neurological and physiological effects of spinal twists, including their impact on muscle tone, circulation, and the nervous system.

  • Learn to incorporate the Wave Spinal Twist technique into your massage sessions, both as a standalone practice and as an enhancement to other therapeutic modalities.

  • Develop a greater understanding of the body’s fascial network and how twisting movements influence the connective tissues.

  • Gain insight into the application of these techniques for various conditions such as back pain, stiff shoulders, tension headaches, and emotional stress release.

By the end of this course, you'll have the foundational knowledge and skills to use the Wave Spinal Twist technique confidently, enhancing your practice and offering clients an effective way to release tension and promote spinal health.

Who should attend: Massage therapists and bodyworkers who are interested in deepening their understanding of spinal mobility and therapeutic touch.

Course requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of human anatomy and massage techniques.

  • Open-mindedness and a willingness to explore new ways to support clients’ physical and emotional well-being.

Come ready to learn, practice, and embody the movement as we explore the foundational principles of the Wave Spinal Twist in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Mask policy: Surgical masks are optional.
